KEITH
ON THE ISSUES
Keith Bohr Will Work To Retain Quality Police Officers
And Expand Community Policing To Help Keep Huntington Beach One Of America’s Safest Cities
Our quality of life is tied to our
ability to walk our streets at night safely, allow our children to play
in our yards, and operate our businesses without fear of crime and violence.
Keith Bohr is committed to
maintaining that quality of life right here in one of America’s safest cities.
Keith Bohr Will Fight To Protect Our Coastline
And Open Space By Preventing Any New Development On The Bolsa Chica Mesa
“The quality of our life in Huntington Beach, the
value of our property and the health of our local economy are all impacted by the protection and
preservation of our coastline.
We have to prevent too much development from
doing any damage to that unique lifestyle we enjoy. That’s why I oppose development on the Bolsa
Chica mesa.
I support preserving the mesa, it’s ecological system
and its wildlife so the unique nature of our point on the Southern California coast is maintained and its
value enhanced for the future. If elected to the City Council, you can count on me
to stand up for the preservation of the Mesa and vote against development there.”

Will Protect Our Water And Beaches From Being Polluted
For years, inland cities have allowed their untreated water runoff to stream into our community
and into the beach waters off our coast. Our beaches are regularly closed and
water quality is threatened as a result. Finally, the Sanitation District agreed not to apply for another
waiver and instead will build a new wastewater treatment facility to address this problem – but the timetable of up to 11 years for
completion is not acceptable. Keith will work to speed up that process and put a stop to the
pollution of our community by others. We should never tolerate pollution that endangers our health and our quality of life.
Upgrade Outdated Water System Keith will also work to repair and improve our own water and
sewer lines, which were built from 40 to 80 years ago and are not meant to handle the demands of a city of nearly 200,000.
As a small business owner with an eye for the bottom line, Keith will fight for these important improvements to be delivered on
time and on budget, without raising taxes.
